Private apartment in Athens, GR

In this particular project, the client asked for a total reconstruction of the living area. The main aim was to develop an open space plan by eliminating walls as much as possible in order to create a seamless flow within the apartment. When it came to design the living room, we came across a column that was in the middle of that space, so we needed to find a way to integrate that element into the design. For that reason, the column was used as part of the metallic divider that separates the hall from the living room. The divider’s structure, allows sunlight to penetrate the hall so as to be reached by natural light, since it was the darkest area in the apartment.
